With 15 years of success in Accounting and Business Consultancy, I now run the business side of the salon as well as Front of House. I have a very strong and determined business mind and my hard work & professional ethos ensures that the carefully selected team at Raw make the best of their skills and attributes. I took over this struggling business with Zoe during November 2010. Together we have successfully transformed this Salon to be a friendly, on-trend fabulous place to be seen in! We rebranded the logo, the feel and interior to one of sophistication, boastfully being accredited with a 5* rating on first attempt by The Good Salon Guide (link). An achievement rarely accomplished and one I am very proud to accept. The stylish new look caught the attention of Redken NYC, and having tried and tested the products personally, we have introduced the brand to the salon and our Clients adore it as do we! I do like to express my Artistic side and enjoy being creative with the Stylists and often act as a Muse.

Hairdressing is my life and there is nothing like seeing the happiness a Client feels when they have had a cut with me.

I have 5 years experience within the hair industry and am forever learning new skills.  If there is a new cutting or colouring technique on the catwalk, I will know it!  I’m qualified to level 3 standard Hairdressing and level 2 Barbering and have had Redken training.  I have done various photo shoots and enjoy coming across new and exciting ideas to try.

I have always been interested in hairdressing. Having recently graduated, I really look forward to being able to demonstrate my skills on you.

I had previous experience in engineering which has helped me to be precise with my work. I’m fortunate to have good communication skills and I believe this helps me with talking through Styles with Clients.

I work very hard and practise constantly to perfect my skills to benefit my Clients.  My hard work and professionalism led me to be selected as a Finalist for “Apprentice of the Year” for The Southend Business Awards which will take place this October.  It is a fantastic achievement that I am very proud of and I would like to thank my Employers for believing in me and entering me.

I am good with clients because I listen and understand that the Client is the star of the show and that it is my job to not only give them a style that suits their face and personality, but to gain their trust in me and my scissors.  I have been through rigorous testing and have excelled the expectation of Raw Hair owner Zoe and that is an accomplishment on its own and one that I am very proud of!
